We would like to make you aware that there is another organization operating under the name of CASA that has become active in South Central PA. This organization is Central American Solidarity Association (CASA de Maryland) and while they share our acronym, they are a completely separate organization with no affiliation to Court Appointed Special Advocates of Lancaster County. The existence of a second “CASA” organization may cause confusion for some of our CASA Volunteer Advocates, donors, and stakeholders.
Court Appointed Special Advocates of Lancaster County remains true to our mission of providing a qualified and compassionate court-appointed volunteer advocate to every child who is abused and neglected, to ensure the fundamental human right of having a safe, nurturing, and permanent home is met. We remain solely committed to the best interest of children in our foster care system. We will not, as an organization, appear at political rallies or stand singularly aligned with or against any political party.
As a member of our community who joins us in our fight on behalf of children who have suffered abuse and neglect, please help us by spreading our mission and clarifying any confusion as to our role in Lancaster County.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the CASA of Lancaster County office at 717-208-3280 and ask to speak with Jessica Laspino, our Executive Director.
