Lancaster, PA, June 23, 2023 – CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Lancaster and Lebanon Counties is looking to increase their number of CASA volunteers before the next Lancaster training class starts. CASA plays a vital role in advocating for abused and neglected children placed in foster care in those communities.
CASA volunteers are ordinary individuals who step forward to become extraordinary advocates for the vulnerable children we serve. They serve as a consistent presence in a child’s life during a tumultuous period they are going through. CASA volunteers are able to investigate, collaborate, and develop a deep understanding of the child’s needs. Armed with the knowledge they have; they help provide critical information to judges and make recommendations aimed at securing safe and permanent homes for these children.
Anyone interested in becoming a CASA volunteer or who would like to learn more about the program may visit www.casalancleb.org. The next information session will be held virtually on July 13, you can register for this session on CASA’s website. Training classes will be held once a week in the evening, for five weeks, totaling 30 pre-service training hours.

Since our inception in 2009, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lancaster and Lebanon Counties provides qualified and compassionate court-appointed volunteer advocates to children who are abused and neglected, to ensure the fundamental human right of having a safe, nurturing, and permanent home is met.
